Sivota, Thesprotia

A beautiful place with green small islands (of particular natural beauty) that have been respected and have not been touched by humans throughout the centuries.

A place with many small and big sandy beaches with many people or none if it is what you prefer, you can go by car or boat, if you like shallow waters for your children or deeper for those who are used to the sea, but above all clean waters, then you should come to Sivota.

Sivota Thesprotia (Mourtos) is a seaside village where the green landscape is embraced by the sea with unique blue colour that makes an idyllic image. The place is surrounded by the islands of Agios Nikolaos and Mavro Oros. Sivota can also be a springboard for a route to the historical and natural monuments of Epirus.

They were named after war (1950) and are known by the Battle of Sivota in 433 BC between Corfiots and Corinthians. During the Ottoman domination, Sivota was named Mourtos by the name of notable who was looting the passing merchant ships. This name was preserved until 1959, when the ancient name was restored. Apart from the monuments of the past, Sivota is a pole of attraction for a large tourist number.

The beaches of Gallikos – Zeri – Bella Vraka – Zavia – Mega Ammos – Mikri Ammos – Mega Ntrafo – Pisina – Agia Paraskevi will become the paradise for you choosing the area as your holiday destination….
